Michael Zárate is an experienced litigation attorney. He is an associate attorney in the firm’s southern California office and focuses his practice on civil litigation matters, including construction defects, personal injury, general business, contract, insurance and commercial litigation.

Prior to his career in law, Mr. Zárate assisted in a start-up company in Cape Town, South Africa which brought high school students to the region for community-based leadership development programs. The program now operates in eleven countries and has changed its name to Global Leadership Adventures to reflect its global presence.

Recently, Mr. Zárate has donated his time and efforts to the Peso Saludable/Healthy Weight program through Latino Health Access. The Peso Saludable/Healthy Weight program dedicates its efforts to improving the health of all Santa Ana residents by improving the eating and exercise habits of its families.

Michael Zárate has represented developers/homebuilders, general contractors and subcontractors in all areas of litigation, focusing on defense of complex litigation matters, including construction defect actions, class actions and general business litigation. Michael has handled numerous multi-party arbitrations and mediations, and has prepared, argued and opposed significant law and motion filings in southern California. He has also counseled clients, helping them to navigate their way through the procedural maze of litigation.

He joined the Menekshe Law Firm in February 2011, and now brings his experience with Southern California courts, judges, mediators, attorneys and experts to our Newport office.
