PATRICA A. BOYES

Patricia A. Boyes is a member of the firm's Litigation Department and focuses her practice in real property law, including construction defects, landlord/tenant issues, premises liability, environmental hazards and mortgage fraud. Ms. Boyes also has experience in the area of personal injury and medical malpractice. She has worked successfully for both defendants and plaintiffs.
Ms. Boyes started her legal career in Monterey, California working in the area of environmental law and civil rights. Since then, she has been involved in litigating numerous cases throughout northern California and has participated in three class action suits, one involving construction defects and two involving mortgage fraud. She has also worked in the area of commercial litigation, litigating both the prosecution and defense of claims involving breach of contract and consumer fraud.
Ms. Boyes' practice includes several large insurance companies, defending their clients and advising them on potential liabilities. Ms. Boyes is intimately familiar with the interpretation of insurance policy clauses and the court's application of these clauses, counseling her clients on the proper course of action with regard to indemnification issues.
Ms. Boyes received her J.D. from Monterey College of Law and her B.A. and Teaching Credential from California State University at Sacramento. Ms. Boyes also studied abroad at the University of San Diego School of Law's Institute on International and Comparative Law in Paris, France.
She is admitted to practice in all California courts and is a member of the California Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
