Lu Zang

Lu Zang

Lu Zang was born and raised in China. She double-majored in Law and International Economics and Trade during college, earning both a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Economics degree upon graduation in China. She later received a Master’s Degree in Law from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Lu is fluent in Mandarin and passed China’s National Judicial Examination in 2013.

Lu continued her legal education in the United States, attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School, where she earned an LL.M. degree. Afterward, she pursued further legal studies at the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where she received her J.D. degree in 2023. While at UC Law SF, Lu was a member of the Hastings Law Journal and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Business Associations and Intro to Federal Securities Law. She was also honored with an Honorable Mention for Best Oral Argument in Legal Research and Writing II.

Throughout her legal career, Lu has gained extensive hands-on experience. She served as a judicial intern at Santa Clara Superior Court in 2020. She worked as a student associate in the Startup Legal Garage program from 2021 to 2022, advising early-stage technology startups on mergers and acquisitions, capitalization tables, financial options, and IP protections under the guidance of Bay Area law firm lawyers. Additionally, Lu clerked at the Social Enterprise and Economic Empowerment Clinic in 2022, where she advised social enterprise clients on corporate governance, compliance, and operational matters.

In April 2025, Lu joined Menekshe Law Firm as an associate attorney. She has experience handling civil matters through all phases of litigation, including case investigation, strategy development, discovery, and motion practice. Lu currently focuses her practice on insurance defense, construction defects, contract disputes, and personal injury.
